Another year, another hard decision narrowing down our favorite movies of the year to just ten each. Just three films of the year — “Obvious Child,” “Nightcrawler” and “Gone Girl” — managed to make both our Top 10s, but for the most part, it appears we each had our differing favorites. It was a year of incredible and challenging films, from the light-hearted and joyous to the serious and provocative, and it’s taken us up to the moment of publishing to finalize our lists.
